Odor Control: The doggie odor

Dogs don’t sweat like we do. That is, they don’t have liquid perspiration seeping from their pores and rolling off their skin in the way humans do. But they do perspire from their paws, and they do emit a light perspiration from their hair follicles, which has a chemical scent that is individual to the dog. And as normal as it is to have their own scent ( just like we do),you should not have to know your dog is close by just by your nose. There are several wide-spread reasons for an overwhelming doggie odor such as: non-consistent hygiene, skin allergies, skin conditions such as fungus and yeast, ear infections, itchy & dry skin, hair loss, etc. Bathing your dog between groomer’s visit will help tremendously in keeping their skin & coat healthy and odor-free, as well as reduce your exposure to bacteria and all the debris they bring from the outdoors. If you have a Spaniel, Pekingese, Pug, Bulldog, or Shar-Pei, you need to keep an eye on your pet’s skin folds. These dogs are prone to skin fold dermatitis, a stinky skin disorder. To avoid infection and a foul odor, cleanse your pet’s skin folds on a regular basis. Applying an all-natural odor control spray between baths will not just make the house smell better, but make your day-to-day interactions with your dog so much more pleasant. Ear infections can usually be prevented by regular ear cleaning with a dog ear cleaner. Dogs with long, droopy ears are prone to ear problems, which often go hand in hand with allergies & dogs with allergies tend to have more ear infections.
