ORAL & DENTAL CARE
Plaque, a colourless film on your dog's teeth, is the perpetrator of bad breath and gum disease. Not brushing off the plaque can cause tartar buildup, and the result is swelling, redness and inflammation of the gums - otherwise known as gingivitis. Besides losing their teeth, dental and oral disease can cause other bodily complications and conditions such as disease of the kidneys, heart, liver and lungs. A professional deep cleaning every year or two is highly recommended , however that does not substitute the daily dental hygiene. Breath sprays and other alternative treatments are a great option to refresh your dog’s breath, however removing the plaque and tartar is best done by brushing your dog’s teeth with a dog toothbrush.
